Christian Johnston is an acclaimed writer, director, producer, and Founder & CEO, with a 28-year career spanning documentary, feature film, television, music videos, and global commercial campaigns. Born in Evergreen, Colorado, and educated at the USC Film School, Johnston has built a reputation for socially driven, high-impact storytelling.
His work has taken him to over 65 countries, including Afghanistan shortly after 9/11 for the groundbreaking hybrid documentary September Tapes, which premiered at Sundance and screened at major festivals worldwide. The film led to global media coverage and his role as a contributor to CNN on Middle East affairs.
Johnston has executive produced and directed 26 television episodes, created award-winning commercial campaigns for brands such as McDonald’s, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, and Maserati, and collaborated with artists including Kanye West, Radiohead, and Thievery Corporation. His projects include the MTV series True Life: Trial by Fire, the feature documentary The Three Hikers, and the international thriller Almaz Blackbox.
